Leslie and Adele have been friends for many years, and have worked together on many projects both as volunteers and professionals. They are both members of the Etobicoke Quilters' Guild. Several years ago, the two avid quilters decided to create a store dedicated to the craft of quilting. They hoped to draw quilters from all over Toronto who would appreciate a comfortable atmosphere with an emphasis on knowledge and service. They also wanted to serve those quilters living in Mississauga, Etobicoke and West Toronto who needed their own neighborhood quilt store. Leslie grew up on Prince Edward Island where she learned to sew from her mother, a gifted quilter. With a background in design and handcrafts, Leslie is an accomplished quilter and teacher. Leslie lives in the Bloor West Village area with her husband Dennis,and three daughters, Esther, Anna and Sophie. Adele, a native of Toronto, is an accomplished craftsperson and quilter. For the past few years Adele has created and sold her beautiful copper garden art at major crafts shows including The One of a Kind Show. Adele also lives in Bloor West Village with husband Arunas, daughter Katrina, son Lukas, and Pandora the Boxer.
